Hello Community

I would like to know if there is a way of knowing the integration date of members in a Teams.

Is there any history of member addition ?

Is there any history of the pending requests ?

Is there a way to extract the list of members to have some chart on tags members and so on ?

Thank you in advance for your answers !

    Hello Raingue C,

I'm Segunfunmi, an Independent Advisor and Microsoft user like you. Thank you for posting your query in this forum.

Let’s dive into your questions about Microsoft Teams:

    Integration Date of Members:

You can use the audit log in Microsoft Teams to find out when members were added to a team. Here are the steps:

First, ensure that auditing is turned on in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal.

Then, retrieve audit logs for Team activities by going to this link (https://compliance.microsoft.com/) and selecting Audit.

Filter the activities, dates, and users you want to audit.

Export the results to Excel for further analysis.

    History of Member Addition:

The audit log captures activities related to team creation, deletion, channel additions, and changes in channel settings. Private channel events are also logged.

For a complete list of Team activities that are audited, refer to the activities in the audit log documentation. (https://learn.microsoft.com/purview/audit-teams-audit-log-events)

    Pending Requests:

Unfortunately, there isn’t a direct history of pending membership requests available within Teams itself.

However, you can monitor pending requests by regularly checking the Manage team settings. Any pending requests will be visible there.

    Extracting the List of Members:

You can use the Microsoft Teams admin center to extract a list of team members. Here’s how:

Go to the Teams admin centre.

    Navigate to the specific team.

Under the Members tab, you’ll find a list of all team members.

You can export this list to create charts or analyze member data.

Remember that auditing data is only available when you turn on auditing, so make sure it’s enabled to capture historical information. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

    Kind regards, Segunfunmi.
