Red box that means I am sharing my screen won't go away even though meeting has ended.

I was in a Microsoft Teams meeting and sharing my screen. When the meeting ended, I left the meeting without hitting stop presenting. Now my screen has the red box around it like I am still presenting. How do I get it to go away?

    Hello Molinda R,

I'm Ibhadighi and I'd happily help you with your question. In this forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing this issue. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:

    1. Quit Teams: Right-click the MS Teams icon on the taskbar and select Quit.
    2. Clear Teams Cache: You could try clearing the Teams cache using the instructions for your device outlined in the linked document.
    3. Compatibility Mode: Try running Teams in compatibility mode. Right-click the MS Teams icon on the desktop, select Properties, under the compatibility tab, check the “Run this program in compatibility mode for” option then select Windows 8 from the dropdown list. Click 'Apply’.

Please note that clearing the cache will not close your ongoing conversations and their history.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards, IBHADIGHI
