Hi

When trying to use the new Microsoft Teams app I can't sign in. I get to the screeen to chose the account, my work account is there, but when I click it it just doesn't do anything.

I've reinstalled, uninstalled the old Teams client and deleted cached files but nothing seems to fix it.

Can you please help?

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Imporant edit/solve issue: I uninstalled Teams again. Then I downloaded Teams for HOME users (not work) and it worked. Few moments later I got prompted to use Teams for Business. I agreed and looks working. For now.

    Hello,
    I have the same issue. I had problem with logging in to Teams and wanted to reinstall them. Now I have splash screen where appears my credentials and after choosing them (or trying again with new account and giving same data) after few moments it back to that screen.
    Removing app cache in %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams also did not work. Removing and installing again Teams also.
    I had opened Credentials Manager and removed (doubled) data for Teams. Also did not help.
    I cannot even launch MS Teams Classic (clicking on icon does nothing).
    Do you microsoft really have to screw up everything you touch?

    I have had the same issue of the login silently failing. I was able to get new Teams to login successfully after removing a few outbound firewall rules relating to Office click-to-run and MSEdgeWebView (not sure which was to blame, just deleted the most recent entries).

    In future, it would be nice if when a login failed for something as simple as not having internet access, an error message could alert the user. Not happy at being forced into new Teams when it obviously isn't ready for business use.

    Hello,

    My name is Jackson and thank you for your question.

    I sincerely apologize for the issue you experience signing into Teams, I am a user too and understand how frustrating this is.

    If you are using a Window PC we can try to disconnect and reconnect Teams with the steps;

    In Windows > Settings > Accounts > Access Work or School Account, find the account you want to use to sign in to Teams. If it's not here, add it. If already added you can disconnect and reconnect to your account.

    We can also try to reset windows credentials;

    1. Search for Credential Manager in the windows search box and select Credential Manager
    2. When the Credential Manager window opens, click Windows Credentials.
    3. Review the list of "Windows Credentials" and "Generic Credentials", select the item that contains the words "Teams" or "Office", and click "Remove".
    4. If multiple items containing "Teams" and "Office" are registered, follow the same procedure to delete all items.

    Once you've removed your Windows credentials, restart Teams and check if you're able to sign in.

    Warm regards,

    Jackson E.

    Thanks for this. Can anyone confirm that this will work on a domain-connected PC? How many different installs of Teams do you end up with? Can you remove any of them? Some of my users have ended up with two Teams icons, and have used the "wrong" one (not their fault, of course).
