I want to set a policy that allows only authenticated users to join Teams meetings in my organization. However, I also need to allow guests to join specific meetings. How can I achieve both of these goals without compromising security?”

Dear Alayah J. Rojas,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

You can achieve this by configuring your Microsoft Teams settings to allow only authenticated users to join meetings by default, while still permitting guests to join specific meetings when necessary.

  1. Set Default Policy for Authenticated Users:
  2. Allow Guests for Specific Meetings:
  3. Manage Guest Access:

By following these steps, you can maintain a secure environment by default while still allowing flexibility for specific meetings where guest access is required.

I hope the above information will be helpful. Please feel free to let me know if there are any updates or if I've got you wrong. If still have any concern, please let me know so I can provide further suggestion.

We sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation. Thanks for your precious time!
