New Teams doesn't work properly with Jabra 75

Hello,

since I switched to new Microsoft Teams, the headset Jabra Evolve 75 is not working anymore.

The device is recognized by the Teams application, but cannot hear nor talk.

Switching back to old Teams, all work fine.

Today Microsoft forced me to use ONLY the New Teams, so I cannot use anymore my Jabra...

Was the New Microsoft teams tested with Jabra before releasing it ????!!!

Is there any way to move back to old Teams?

    Hello,

thanks for your reply. I already did all before sending my question to the forum.

The device is properly recognized by new Teams, as mentioned previously, but it does not work: cannot hear and cannot talk. Tested using the internal Teams option of Testing Call the result is all good, except for microphone recognized as in MUTE. But nothing was working (no message heard) and the microphone was not in mute...

I saw this issue one month ago when I moved to New Teams for testing... then I solved moving back to use old teams and sending feedback to Microsoft (without reply from them).

But today Microsoft forced me to use the New Teams, so I cannot work anymore now.

Hi Roberto, My name is Umar and I'd be happy to help you out with your question.

Please note: This is a user-to-user community forum. We are users just like you who help others. We are not employees of Microsoft.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with your Jabra Evolve 75 headset and the new Microsoft Teams. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check Device Settings in Teams Open Microsoft Teams. Go to your profile picture and select Settings. Select Devices. Under Audio devices, make sure your Jabra Evolve 75 is selected for both the Speaker and Microphone.

Update the Jabra Evolve 75 firmware to the latest version using Jabra Direct software: https://www.jabra.com/software-and-services/jabra-direct Note: This is a non-Microsoft website. The page appears to be providing accurate, safe information. Watch out for ads on the site that may advertise products frequently classified as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products). Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it.'

Ensure you have the most recent version of the new Teams app installed on your device.

Jabra might be aware of the issue and have a solution. Visit their support website (https://www.jabra.com/support) and search for compatibility information with the new Teams client.

If Jabra doesn't have a solution, report the issue to Microsoft Teams support. They can investigate further based on your details.

Note: Since Microsoft forced you to use the new Teams, there's no direct way to switch back to the old version at the moment.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Hi Roberto,

I have the same Jabra Evolve 75 headset and ran into a similar issue with the new Microsoft Teams. The only way I’ve been able to get it working consistently is by plugging it in via the USB charging cable. Once the headset is connected by cable, Teams recognizes both audio in and out.

If you haven’t tried that yet, give it a shot as a temporary workaround. Hopefully, Microsoft will release a fix soon that restores full wireless functionality so we can all go back to using the headset wirelessly.

Good luck, and let me know if this helps at all!

    Br,

    Alexandru

Same issue over here. Teams does reconise the problem and asks to switch to another audio device.

Firmware update or other updates are not working. besides this the headset is working perfect.

    Best Regards,

    Bart

I have exactly the same issue when Jabra Evolve 75 headphones are connected using Bluetooth.

I have just tested it when I launch Teams from Edge browser, and it behaves exactly the same (no sound in the test call). When I run test call using build in speakers and microphine in the laptop, everything works fine. If I play music via headphones it also work fine.

The device is recognized in the Teams / Settings / Devices / Audio settings: Headset (Jabra Evolve 75 Hands-Free AG Audio) for both speaker and microphone.
