Auto start Teams for business but not Teams personal?

I use "Teams for business" for work but apparently I have been equipped also with "Teams personal" (automagically). I am logged in to both a Microsoft 365 business account (for work) and personal Microsoft family account (using a different e-mail address), so it does make some sense to have both Teams apps. But I never use Teams for personal/private purposes.

So, I would like Teams for business to auto start but not Teams personal. This seems impossible to achieve. When I go into Teams for business settings and enable auto start, then Teams personal will also auto start. If I then go into Teams personal settings and disable auto start, then Teams for business won't auto start either.

Looks like the auto start setting is the same for both business and personal.

How can I get Teams for business to auto start, but not Teams personal?

Note: this concerns the "new" Teams, in both cases. I'm on Windows 11 professional.

What worked for me was after I had both Work and Personal instances open and logged in, I signed out of the personal one leaving only the work one signed in. After that when I close teams and reopen only the work instance launches.

I have the exact same issue and have tried the above, but it does not stop Personal Teams starting with Work Teams, as soon as I start Work Teams personal pops up and there is no option to quit Personal teams in from the task bar icon once it's started either.

I have the same issue and have tried both methods to no avail. Even if the auto startup is disabled, it still starts up with my Teams for work. I noticed this first started happening like 2 weeks ago so it is probably due to one of the updates that got released because it never did this before. Hopefully it gets fixed as I never use the personal teams app

Unfortunately, disabling Teams personal in either (or both) of those settings has no effect - I still get both Teams for business and Teams personal auto started every time I boot. I can confirm that this happens in spite of having Teams personal disabled in both places.

Yeah, i think it's part of their glorious plan to integrate personal teams and business teams into one client with seperate profiles and that going not as planned...

A few days ago it didn't even bothered to start at all...

Hope they have a fix soon. Heard something of a timeline with this friday being mentioned.
