Having issues taking screenshots on Microsoft Teams & Outlook. When I try to take a screenshot, it always comes out black. Is this because it's a work email & Teams? I can take screenshots on my phone of anything else.

    Dear Lynda 817,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Based on your description, I understand that you're encountering a common issue related to security settings in Microsoft Teams and Outlook. This problem often occurs when certain security policies are enforced by your organization, especially if you're using a work account.

From this article, iOS/iPadOS device settings in Microsoft Intune | Microsoft Learn, it appears that for enrolled devices, admin can set policy to block screenshots and recordings.

To better understand the issue and assist you further:

    1. May I double confirm which device and operating system are you using?
    2. Does the issue continue if you use different account in teams or outlook? If your organization uses Microsoft Intune or another Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution, they might have policies in place that prevent screenshots for security reasons. These policies are designed to protect sensitive information.
    3. Sometimes, updates to the apps can introduce new security features or bugs. Make sure both Microsoft Teams and Outlook are updated to the latest versions.
    4. Check if there are any device-level restrictions. On some devices, especially those managed by an organization, there might be settings that block screenshots.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, you might need to contact your IT department for further assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on the policies and configurations in place for your organization.

Please let me know and we can explore more options. Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can find a solution together. Thank you for your help.
