"New" Teams chat will randomly jump up to previously chat messages and you will need to scroll back down to the latest message. This can happen 2 or 3 times before it settles and allows you to stay on the latest message. Is this a bug?

Hi all, I'm experiencing a similar issue and it's quite frustrating to deal with.

I found that scrolling over the "emoji" popups will send me into another chat entirely, seemingly at random.

I'm running Windows 10 which is up to date and the latest update of Microsoft Teams.

I don't know anyone else who is experiencing this same issue.

I have same issue and also my coworkers. This new "teams" is..."not good" to say lightly. No spell check, a lot of bugs. Let us use the old one it was a lot better.

    Dear Quincy Orange1

    Good day!

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are glad to assist!

Based on your description, I understand you concern with "New" Teams chat will randomly jump up to previously chat messages in a chat window.

I noticed that many customers have the similar issue in New Teams, it is most likely related to the problem on the backend side and to check further it is suggested to raise a ticket to contact our technical team via Microsoft 365 admin center page, see Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn.  The engineers will collect logs to check the issue from backend side.

Thanks for your precious time and your understanding would be highly appreciated. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,
