I think I have two accounts for Teams- one for personal through 365 and one for work that I accidentally signed up for. I got an email saying it just renewed with my work info on it- but I have no clue how to log in to that account. When i try and log in- it goes to my personal account. Help!

    Dear Christy,

Thank you for reaching out regarding your Microsoft Teams access issue. Based on your description, it appears that you have two Microsoft accounts:

    • A personal account linked to your Microsoft 365 subscription.
    • A work account that may have been created unintentionally and recently renewed.

When attempting to log in, Teams defaults to your personal account, preventing access to the work account. This is a common issue and can be resolved with the following steps:

    Recommended Solutions:

    1. Identify the Work Account
      • Review the renewal email to confirm the exact email address or domain associated with the work account.
      • If the domain is unfamiliar, it may be tied to a Microsoft 365 tenant managed by your organization or a third-party vendor.
    2. Sign In Using Incognito Mode or a Different Browser
      • Open a private/incognito window in your browser and try signing in with your work account credentials.
      • Alternatively, use a different browser to avoid cached login sessions that default to your personal account.
    3. Clear Cached Credentials
      • Quit Teams and all Office apps.
      • Clear cached credentials from your system:
        C:\Users\
      • You may also need to clear saved credentials from the Windows Credential Manager.
    4. Use the New Teams Multi-Account Feature
      • The latest version of Microsoft Teams supports multiple accounts.
      • Click your profile picture > Accounts & Orgs > Add account and enter your work credentials.
    5. Recover or Reset the Work Account
      • If you’re unable to log in, visit https://account.live.com/password/reset to recover access.
      • If the account is managed by an organization, contact your IT administrator or Microsoft support for assistance.
    6. Use Microsoft’s Troubleshooter
      • Open the Get Help app on Windows and search for “Unable to sign-in to Microsoft Teams.”
      • Follow the guided steps to resolve login issues.

I hope you find this message helpful. If you need help identifying the correct account or navigating these steps, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. I’ll be happy to assist you further.
