How do I add the sticker/custom emoji/GIF option in Microsoft Teams?

Thank you for the quick reply, Paul.

1. How do I check for restrictions?
2. I checked and am using the most recent update.
3. I tried to use Teams in a web browser and that did not change the ability to use them.

I have checked with other co-workers on my team/other teams in the emoji list. Some do have the option, and others do not.

Where can I check in their settings to see where it would be?

Based on your description, it sounds like you’re missing out on some interesting features in Microsoft Teams.

1. Have you checked to ensure that your Teams admin hasn’t restricted the use of stickers, custom emojis, or GIFs? Sometimes, these features can be disabled at the organizational level.
2. Have you checked to make sure you’re using the latest version of Microsoft Teams? You can check for updates by clicking on ... on the left of your profile picture in Teams, then selecting Check for updates.
3. Have you tried using Temas in the Web to check if you get the same issue?

If you’ve checked all of these and still don’t see the option, it might be helpful to compare your settings with your co-worker’s settings. Since you mentioned screenshots, could you please attach them here? That way, I can take a closer look and provide more specific guidance.

I have been doing tests on this and check with my team, this can depend on the messaging policy assigned to the users. For all users, the admin should make sure that the messaging policy assigned to them has this option turned on in order to use this option Custom emojis in Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn, have you reached to your organization admin to check this?

Any luck getting the access to upload? We are having trouble in my org as well. No one has access to upload (even admins / IT) but we have everything enabled already on the backend.
