How do I find my Microsoft Teams User Id?

I must have tried everything by now, but I cannot find my Teams user id. I need it for an essential work flow and I can't find it anywhere. I tried settings and looking in my profile details both in the app and on the website. You can no longer copy a link to a chat so it's not there either. I even tried looking in the developer tools and found nothing. How and where do I find my Microsoft Teams User Id?

This seems crazy to me, why would we hide that from being user-accessible? Having to contact an admin for everything is such an antiquated way of working. In Slack all you need to do is view a user profile (this is a global, read-only thing) and grab the user ID.

Why does Microsoft make everything difficult? This should be easily queryable by any member of any org without needing admin rights.

    Dear Samantha Farrington,

    Good day!

Thanks for reaching out to this community.

Based on your description, I understand your query about how to find your Microsoft Teams User Id.

Please kindly contact the (Global) admin/IT support of your organization to follow below steps:

(If you are not sure who is your admin, can refer this How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support.)

    1. Go to Micrsoft Teams admin center > Users > Manage Users > Click on your account > Select Copy object ID. Image
    2. Or, go to Microsoft Entra admin center > IdentityUsers > All users > Click on your account. On the Overview page, the Object ID that displays is the user's unique object ID. Image

Additionally, the admin can also try to use Get-User (ExchangePowerShell) | Microsoft Learn or Get-TeamUser (MicrosoftTeamsPowerShell) | Microsoft Learn commands to access this ID.

Appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation. Have a nice day!
