Hi,

How do you switch between two different Organizations in New Teams? We want to test with the account in one tenant which has Guest user access in another tenant so from the same account we want to login to 2 different tenants. This used to work in Classic Teams, but now we are unable to do this in New one.

We have the exact same problem. It is nice to see that someone else is seeing this issue. He is seeing the wrong company in his profile in Teams but it is showing the channels and chats of our tenant. We have about 4 people that this is happening to. Worked fine in Classic Teams (which has been retired) and works fine in the Web App. Have been working with Microsoft for almost 2 months and no resolution. I believe this is a bug and needs to be acknowledged .

They have removed his guest account and reinvited him but it does not fix the issue. He can log into teams with my machine (under my windows profile) and it doesn't work. Mine works fine. I log into Teams on his machine and it works fine. It has something to do with his account but no one has an answer.

    Thanks!

    DannyD

We have the 95% exacte same issue with one of our employee account. She has access to another company has a guest using our company's account. Before the New teams, everything was fine and is still fine when using the Web Version or reinstalling Classic Teams. But as soon as we have the new teams, bunch of issues come up.. conversations have 'Unknown User' labeled instead of the account name, we clear the caches and it helps but it seems to come back either after time or a reboot of the computer.

Also the access to the guest sites/teams isn't working anymore and in the account 'panel' at the top in teams, it shows the name of the guest company for the organisation's Name instead of "our" company whose the owner of the account our primary organization.

We've tried all the caches clearing, uninstalling, updated imaginable... removing the guest invite from the other company, resending it etc... nothing fixes the issue that's only showing on New Teams Desktop.

Official help and bug recognition from microsoft would help a lot here!

Hi there Ajay S. I am Lumie and I would love to assist you today. I am so sorry you are having issues with your switching between organisations. Here's a detailed guide on how to achieve this: Update to the Latest Version: Ensure you are using the latest version of the Teams app. Microsoft frequently updates Teams with new features and improvements. Using the Teams Desktop or Web App: Desktop App: Open the Microsoft Teams desktop app. Click on your profile picture located at the top right corner of the window. You should see a list of available organizations (tenants) under the “Organizations” section. Click on the organization you want to switch to. Web App: Open your browser and go to the Microsoft Teams web app. Sign in with your Microsoft account. Click on your profile picture at the top right corner. From the drop-down menu, select the organization you want to switch to. Using the Mobile App: Open the Microsoft Teams mobile app. Tap on your profile picture at the top left corner. Tap on the "Organizations" section. Select the organization you want to switch to. Multi-Account Sign-In: If you frequently switch between organizations, consider setting up multiple accounts: Sign in to Teams with your primary account. Add another account by clicking on your profile picture, then selecting "Add account." After adding another account, you can switch between these accounts similarly by clicking on your profile picture and selecting the desired account or organization. Guest Access and Switching: If you are accessing another organization as a guest, make sure the guest access is properly set up by the organization’s admin. You should receive an email invitation to join as a guest. Follow the instructions to accept the invitation. Once accepted, follow the same steps mentioned above to switch organizations. If you are experiencing issues please see below: Unable to See Organizations: Ensure that your account has the appropriate guest access permissions. Check with the admin of the organization to confirm that guest access is enabled. Clearing Cache: Sometimes, clearing the Teams cache can resolve issues with switching organizations. For the desktop app: Quit Microsoft Teams. Navigate to %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams. Delete the contents of the Cache, Code Cache, and GPUCache folders. Restart Microsoft Teams. Logging Out and Back In: Sign out of Microsoft Teams and then sign back in. This can sometimes refresh the list of available organizations. Browser Issues: If using the web app, try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser to see if the issue persists. I hope this helps. I shall be here for your response. -Lumie

    Hi Lumie,

    Thank you for your response.

We are attempting to use a Guest User account. As mentioned, the email has been received for the Guest User account, and we can see two organizations under "My Accounts."

Additionally, we have assigned an E5 license to the Guest User account, yet we are still unable to view the switch option in the new Teams.
