The webcam does not work at all in New Teams (see screenshot), even though it works in all the other applications I have tried (Teams classic, Zoom, Microsoft Camera, Signal, webcamtoy.com, etc.). Why is this happening and how can I get it to work?

I am using the latest version of Microsoft Teams 24074.2323.2827.4973.

I agree - the problem is with New Teams.

I have a Lifecam Cinema and it likewise worked perfectly with Teams Classic, but not with New Teams.

I even swapped back to Teams Classic to get my webcam support back, but then MS went and took that option away.

MS appear to have gotten out of the market for WebCams now, and I suspect they'll just leave it broken for New Teams.

can you share more details on your hardware setup, GPU and drive versions?

You can run dxdiag and save all information and copy/past the text here.

    Hi

I am an Independent Advisor, trying to help other users in the Community with my experience in Microsoft products. Please note that I am a user like you and don't work directly for Microsoft.

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue and I hope the following suggestion will work in your case.

The New Outlook is still in development by Microsoft and new features will be added over the next couple of months.

You can find all the expected dates in this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Outlook%2CDesktop%2CWeb&searchterms=New%2COutlook

Should the issue you experience have an impact on you, I suggest you revert to the Classic Outlook for now.

Please let me know if that helped.

    Regards

    Casper
