Additional meeting and call-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for business
Hello Olmo Kosunen**,**
Thank you for your follow-up question.
Regarding your inquiry about restricting or setting a default so that only the meeting organizer can view the meeting's files:
Currently, Microsoft 365 provides some administrative controls to manage file access permissions, but there isn’t a direct option in the Microsoft Admin Center to enforce a default setting where only the meeting organizer can view files (e.g., video, image, or audio files) associated with a Teams meeting.
It seems that the Microsoft Teams admin center does not provide a direct option to restrict meeting files so that only the meeting organizer can view them.
However, there are several ways to manage content sharing and access permissions in Teams meetings:
- You can configure admin settings for screen sharing mode, PowerPoint sharing, whiteboard, and shared notes. These settings can be managed in the Teams admin center under Meetings > Meeting policies > Content sharing.
While this specific feature isn’t available at the moment, Microsoft continuously enhances its offerings based on user feedback. I recommend submitting your request via the Microsoft Feedback Portal for visibility and consideration by the product team.
Here is the link below on how you can operate this feedback:
For your information, our community team and the Microsoft product development team are independent.
Therefore, for feature suggestion or by design query, the user should send feedback on their side to the Microsoft product team.
Once the user submits feedback through the above-mentioned way, it is sent directly to Microsoft and directed to the relevant product teams who can review it, once it receives upvotes and attention from other users facing the same scenario. Going forward, the development team will put it on the Microsoft 365 Roadmap | Microsoft 365.
And if the provided information is helpful and meets your requirement, you can also give Vote on that in order to make this thread a top content and help any other community users who might be facing a similar scenario to easily find this thread/post.
At this point, I would like to thank you very much for your valuable time and kind cooperation.
Have a great day ahead!
Sincerely
