What is the maximum range of historical data for approvals(both received and sent) that can be displayed in the Approvals app in Teams?

To date, I’ve noticed that my approvals history in Teams Approvals app goes back 14 months. What is the maximum range of historical data for approvals(both received and sent) that can be displayed in the Approvals app in Teams? My company does not set up any retention policy currently. During audit situation, I would like to show auditor the approvals obtained in the Approvals app, without the need to get additional IT's support for historical data retrieval.

    Hello microtechjack,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I did further checks and consults on my end, however, the maximum range of historical data for approvals (both received and sent) that can be displayed in the Approvals app in Teams is not explicitly defined. However, the Approvals app stores data in the Microsoft Dataverse environment, and the data retention period can be influenced by the organization's data retention policies.

In your case, since your company does not have any specific retention policy set up, the historical data you can access might be limited by default settings or storage constraints. However, since this app is more inclined to Power platform, I would also suggest posting this query in the Power platform community to also get better insight from this team. Thank you for your precious time and have a great day.
