Is this issue with everyone’s Apple AirPods not working with Microsoft Teams something that Microsoft does not want to fix or they can not fix? Or, can Microsoft tell us when will this be fixed?

This issue is drastically affecting our peoples ability to virtually call and conference together. We do not want to buy new headsets and earbuds to accommodate Microsoft’s issue. Thank you.

This fix worked for me, thank you! I'm going to clarify the steps though because I had a little trouble following them.

So there is a fix in terms of getting the audio through the headphones, however, you will have to use a mic on your computer if you have a laptop. Otherwise you'd need an external mic.

    1. When you go into your computer's settings. click on bluetooth & devices. You should see "View more devices" in a horizontal rectangular button at the top. Click that and it'll take you to the next page.
    2. Scroll down and click "More devices and printer settings." This will open up a new window displaying devices and printers. You should see here your airpods on the top row.
    3. Right click onto your airpods icon and click on "Properties"
    4. In the window that pops up, you'll see 4 tabs. Click on the "services" tab.
    5. Here you will see 5 checkbox options displayed. Uncheck the "Handsfree Telephony" option and then click "apply" at the bottom. This will enable you to hear audio through your airpods.

This only worked to fix the audio through my airpods so I can hear others, but I still need to use the mic on my webcam so that others can hear me. Make sure in Teams that your speaker is set to Airpods, but that your mic is set to your laptop/pc/webcam, etc.

It would be really awesome if Microsoft could somehow fix this known issue though!

    This is ridiculous !

I got new airpods 4, so that I can use them for personal as well as taking work calls on the teams. When I use them on teams app, the microphone works but the I'm not able to hear what the other person is saying. Whereas, when I use the teams web app, it's the reverse- I can hear the other person but my microphone doesn't work. IS THIS A ROCKET SCIENCE, that MS can't fix...ughhhh :(

It seems one can use the Air pod Max speaker only togerther with computer microphone. If Air pods are selected in the input (microphone) setting, speaker sound is lost for some reason, at least in Teams meetings.

I have exactly the same issue with my work issued Windows 10 laptop. The work around of using the laptop's microphone array for microphone and the Airpods Pro 2 for speakers, does work. It would be nice if Microsoft could sort this out however.
