Hi,

My time zone is incorrect and I am struggling to change it. I have gone into settings within teams but nothing is showing up where I can change the hours I work and what the correct time is. Please help, many thanks!

I have the same problem. Time zone on the General > Language and Time page is set correctly. Yet on the Calendar > Work hours and location page it shows entirely different and wrong. Why are there even two settings for this? Why doesn't work hours use the same time zone setting as the rest of the app? And where do I change this work hours time zone?

I have the time zone set in PC Settings. It all works for Outlook and Every other app. It does not work for Teams. Teams is still 2 hours later for me. How do I get this to work.

In the "Outlook (New)" application, everything I could see was listed as CST for me, however my work hours' time zone kept saying Pacific Time.

I made sure my settings were synced with Microsoft365, made sure that my OS time zone was CST and that my time zone in General Settings within the app was CST but it still showed the work hours as Pacific Time even after restarts of the app and computer.

Once I logged in to Outlook on the web through myapps.microsoft.com, it updated to the correct time zone on my "Outlook (New)" app without me having to do a single thing. All I did was log in through the web-browser.

    I have the same problem.

Spent hours trawling the internet for solutions, and tried to set everything.

Teams just ignores all time zone settings (CET) and sets the time for scheduled meetings to (WET).

I even bought a new PC and it came up wrong again :-(

Please please please sort this out.

Looking at the threads the problem seems to have been existing for a very long time. It must be time for a fix.

    Hello Rhian Gohil
Good day! Thank you for posting in the community. Microsoft Teams does not provide an option to directly change your time zone within the app. The time zone settings for Teams are derived from the settings of your operating system or your Outlook calendar. Therefore, if you are encountering issues with incorrect time zone information in Teams.

Teams is designed to integrate with other Microsoft services like Outlook and the system clock on your computer. This integration ensures that your meetings, messages, and calendar events are consistent across different platforms. As such, Teams relies on your operating system’s time zone settings to display times correctly.

Since you can't change the time zone directly within Teams, here's how you can ensure that the time zone is set correctly for everything that Teams depends on:

    1. Update Your Time Zone in Your Operating System:
    • For Windows:
      1. Open Settings (press Win + I).
      2. Go to Time & Language.
      3. Click on Date & Time.
      4. Ensure that the Time zone is set correctly. You may also toggle Set time automatically and Set time zone automatically if you prefer automatic adjustments.
    • For macOS:
      1. Open System Preferences.
      2. Select Date & Time.
      3. Click on the Time Zone tab.
      4. Set the correct time zone either by selecting it from the map or entering it manually.
    1. Update Time Zone in Outlook:
    • For Outlook Desktop Application:
      1. Open Outlook.
      2. Go to File > Options.
      3. Select Calendar.
      4. In the Time zones section, adjust your time zone settings.
    • For Outlook Web App:
      1. Go to Outlook.com or Office 365.
      2. Click on the gear icon (⚙) and select View all Outlook settings.
      3. Go to General > Language and time.
      4. Adjust your Time zone.

These approaches should automatically update the time zone in Teams.

Thank you for your understanding and consideration. If you need more information, please feel free to reach out.
