How to remove Unread, Chats, Meeting chats, Mentions from Teams

Hello,

In Chat tab, there are now three buttons: Unread, Chats and Meeting chats. Under them is @ Mentions button.

I don't want these buttons there and I can't find anywhere how to turn them off, please advice how to do so.

IF it's for some reason not possible to remove, then please add option to hide these unwanted features, because it's frustrating to be forced by Microsoft to whatever they've decided is best for everyone else.

Thanks

    Hello Teams user,

Thank you for posting to the Microsoft community.

I understand you want to remove some features from your teams profile and we are sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused you and I'll be providing answers to your question.

Currently, Microsoft Teams doesn't offer a built-in option to remove or hide the "Unread", "Chats", "Meeting chats," or "@Mentions" buttons in the Chat tab. These features are part of the app's design to help users manage their conversations and notifications more effectively.

If you feel this is affecting your experience, you can share your feedback directly with Microsoft. You can do this by going to your Microsoft Teams app >> Click on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner >> Select Help > Give feedback. Microsoft active. They review user input regularly to inform future updates.

    Best Regards,
