So while using MS teams on my computer my headphones mic will suddenly stop picking up my voice mid call, or my voice will ger really quiet. I changed the headphones and it didn't help. I tried the headphones on a different computer and it worked normally, I reinstalled MS teams and drivers for the headphones and it did nothing, I tried using them on a different application and it there the mice worked normally it even worked normally on MS teams via web browser but on the application it won't work. Any idea what else I can try?

    Hello Davor,

    * I am a Microsoft user like you, providing solutions to community members; I am NOT a Microsoft employee.

It sounds like you've done a good bit of troubleshooting for your microphone issue in the Teams desktop app. Here are some additional things you can try to fix the problem where your headphones mic cuts out or becomes quiet mid-call:

    1. Check Teams Microphone Settings: Open the Teams desktop app. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner. Go to "Settings" and then "Devices." Under "Microphone," ensure your headphones are selected as the input device. Click on "Make a test call" to check if your microphone is working properly within Teams.
    2. Adjust Microphone Permissions: Go to your computer's privacy settings. The specific steps might vary depending on your operating system (Windows or Mac). Search for "Microphone" or "Privacy settings." Make sure Teams has permission to access your microphone.
    3. Disable Exclusive Mode for Microphone: Some audio devices have an "exclusive mode" setting that can interfere with Teams. Right-click on the sound icon in your system tray. Go to "Sound settings" and then "Manage sound devices." Find your headphones and click on "Properties." Go to the "Advanced" tab. Uncheck the box for "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device (requires restart)." Restart your computer and test your microphone in Teams again.
    4. Disable Audio Enhancements: Audio enhancements can sometimes cause problems with microphone quality. Right-click on the sound icon in your system tray. Go to "Sound settings" and then "Manage sound devices." Find your headphones and click on "Properties." Go to the "Enhancements" tab. Uncheck any boxes that are enabled and click "Apply." Test your microphone in Teams again.
    5. Update Audio Drivers: Outdated audio drivers can sometimes cause microphone issues. Visit your computer manufacturer's website or the website of your headphones manufacturer to download and install the latest audio drivers.
    6. Check for Conflicting Applications: Close any other applications that might be using your microphone in the background. This could include video conferencing apps, recording software, or voice chat programs.
    7. Reinstall Teams App (as a last resort): If none of the above solutions work, you can try reinstalling the Teams desktop app completely. This might resolve any underlying issues within the app itself.

    Hope this helps.
