When I am sharing my screen in a meeting and I need to open my Teams conversations window, everyone in the meeting can see/read my conversations, how can I hide my conversations window?

    Hello Alan Pena,

Good day! Thank you for reaching out.

To hide your Teams chat conversations while sharing your screen in a meeting,

You can choose to share a window and not the entire screen in case you only need to show one thing and want to keep the rest of your screen to yourself.

Instead of sharing your entire screen, share only the specific window or application you need. This way, your chat window won’t be visible to Click shared and select Window to select from open programs.

You chat you private chat without the attendees see them.

However if you are using the share screen option with the teams main chat window in the background, this seems to be the default. If you want to share a entire screen it is not feasible to hide the conversation you have with others person

I do understand your concern and how it can they can affect your privacy and as it is related with the product design, I'd strongly recommend you submit your valuable feedback directly to the product development team through the teams app (Help >Suggest a Feature or Give Feedback or by posting on Microsoft Teams · Community.

In case I misunderstood you in anyway, please let me know.

    Best Regards,

    Eben

Thank you so much for your detailed comment.
Share an specific screen works to not make visible my chat window, thank you for providing that option.

The only drawback is that in a scenario where there will be multiple screens to interact with when presenting the screen, I understand that I would have to stop sharing and share back and forth between each screen.

I will follow your recommendation and additionally leave feedback for the product development team.

Thank you very much for your help.

I have a similar problem in that I can only get sound notifications from chats if I have Chat Message Notifications > Show in Banner on. The problem with that is when I'm sharing my screen, the banner will only pop up on the primary screen and that is usually the one I'm sharing. I understand I can just share an app or I can share another screen but it would be easier to be able to have the banner display on a non-primary monitor. Is there a way to do that?
