I want the close button to Minimise teams, instead of closing (and i dont mean minimise to the notification pane). I used to work for a Bank, and their version of MS teams allowed me to keep the program ACTIVELY running in the task bar (i.e. the progrtam logo has a line under it, and when i got a new message, the logo would actually flast orange repeatedly until i opened the app, it also showed a red circle with how many messages were missed). Is it possible to configure it this way in MS for business?

Microsoft needs to fix this ASAP. This is about the most boneheaded design decision I've ever seen.
If you blink you miss the notification and then windows 11 HIDES the icon in the system tray (the one with about 4 red pixels to tell you that you have a notification) by default. Even with microsoft intune there seems to be now way to make this work in a business environment. It's almost like Microsoft is actively trying to hide your notifications from you.
Dear Jordan Core,
Good day. After thorough research and consulting, it’s been concluded that Microsoft Teams to minimize to the taskbar instead of closing completely, while still showing notifications for new messages. Unfortunately, the current version of Microsoft Teams for Business doesn't have a built-in option to configure the close button to minimize to the taskbar directly. It is not currently feasible.
As workaround Microsoft Teams did have an option in Settings > General to "On close, keep the application running" (or "On close, keep the application open") check it. This option allow you to close completely teams but keep running if you receive any message it will pop up as banner so you can reply to the message.
However, Microsoft regularly updates its applications, and features might change or be relocated over time. If you're not finding this option in the latest version of Microsoft Teams, kindly shared your teams version with us
