I was wondering if there is a way to enable private messages between users inside of the chat in a team's meeting. I know zoom has this functionality; I was wondering if Microsoft teams has implemented this yet.

I actually found a partial work-around somewhere else. Even if you don't see a "New chat" button in the Teams chat window, if you use Ctrl+Shift+N, it will pop open a new chat window. You can then type in the name of the person you are wanting to chat with privately and start a new conversation with them.

The problem with this solution is that the new chat is not part of the meeting chat function, so the person may not see that you have initiated a chat with them.

    Dear Anthony Del Valle_158,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to assist you.

Currently, Microsoft Teams does not have a private chat functionality within a Teams meeting chat window. However, during a meeting, you can click on the "Show conversation" button to open the meeting chat. From there, you can click on the "New chat" button to start a new private chat with one or more participants in the meeting. This private chat will only be visible to the participants involved in the chat and will not be visible to other meeting participants.

If you want to chat with someone privately in the teams chat window, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Microsoft continuously strives to improve its products and to provide a better experience to its consumers. At this point, we would like to have our engineers be aware of the said concern. I would recommend posting your concern on our  Ideas · Community (microsoft.com). After submitting the feedback, will you please share me the feedback link, I will ask my team to help vote for it. On the other side, users can also monitor Microsoft's Roadmap service platform to know what features are in development, Rolling out, and Launched by relevant product team?. Microsoft 365 Roadmap | Microsoft 365.

There is no "New chat" button displaying in my Teams chat window. Is it only available in specific versions? Is it a discontinued feature?

Eu estava pensando se há uma maneira de habilitar mensagens privadas entre usuários dentro do chat em uma reunião de equipe. Eu sei que o zoom tem essa funcionalidade; eu estava pensando se o Microsoft Teams já implementou isso.

    Sim eu tenho
