Team AI Interpreter not working

Anonymous

I have changed to the Targeted Release for a handful of users that want to test the new AI Interpreter agent in Teams. The Public Preview policy just wasnt working but after changing to the Targeted Release, we now have the Public Preview option. But the issue I am still running into is the Interpreter feature is still not working. I dont have any option to turn the interpreter on.

Here is what I have done:

Public Preview is checked

CoPilot is enabled in Teams Admin Center

Live Captions is enabled as well

I have a 365 CoPilot License as well as a Teams Premium License

Confirmed CoPilot, AIInterpreter and VoiceSimulationInInterpreter are enabled by running Get-CSTeamsMeetingPoliicy.

Teams Version:

You have Microsoft Teams version 25122.1415.3698.6812. You've got the latest version. It was last checked on 2025-06-03. Early AccessthroughPublic Preview

Is there any else I am missing.

I was informed by support that there is a bug/issue with the new Interpreter Agent in New Teams. If you have upgraded your tenant to New Teams, Interpreter Agent is not available even if you have configured everything as the documentation instructs. I have not been able to find this bug listed anywhere officially.

If you still have access to Classic Teams, the Interpreter Agent should be available.

    Hello,

Thank you for the reply. I have made sure that Live Captions are enabled and working, and the meeting is not end to end encrypted (disabled). I dont have the option to turn on interpreter when in the meeting and I dont see any anything related to interpreter other than the human language interpreter.

Does the human interpreter need to be enabled for the AI interpreter agent to work ?
