I cannot share my computer sound when screen sharing during a Teams Live meeting. The switch doesnt press. One week ago it was working fine, and now it doesnt. Was there an update or settings I need to adapt?

    I have exactly this issue. I tried clearing the cache but no difference. However, this problem only occurs when I click 'share the screen' AND 'share the computer sound'. If I don't click 'share computer sound' then it's OK for the others to hear.

    Beware; clearing the cache also deletes your custom backgrounds.

    Hello,

    I use teams on a work computer (windows) but it does not present the option to select include computer audio. I do not know if this version is so old that it did not have that option yet or if there is something I am overlooking. I uploaded a screenshot.

    Is there an option to share audio and if so can you walk me through the steps?

    Hello Siuzanna, My name is Indhurani, I’ll be happy to help you today.

    It is possible that there was an update or a change in settings that is causing this issue. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check your audio settings: Go to Teams settings and check your audio settings to ensure that the correct microphone and speakers are selected.
    2. Exit and rejoin the meeting: Sometimes simply exiting and rejoining the meeting can fix the issue.
    3. Update your Teams app: Make sure you have the latest version of Teams installed on your computer.
    4. Clear cache: Kindy follow the below steps to clear the Teams cache

    Clear Teams cache in Windows

    -> If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon in the taskbar and then select Quit.

    -> Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows logo key +R.

    -> In the Run dialog box, enter %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams and then select OK.

    -> Delete all files and folders in the %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams directory.

    -> Restart Teams.

    Clear Teams cache in macOS

    -> If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon in the dock, and then select Quit, or press Command (⌘)-Q.

    -> In the Finder, open the /Applications/Utilities folder, and then double-click Terminal.

    -> Enter the following command, and then press Return:

    rm -r ~/Library/Application\ Support/Microsoft/Teams

    -> Restart Teams.

    1. Check with Teams web: https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/microsoft-teams...
    2. If the issue persists, please try to uninstall and reinstall the Teams app
