Every answer I can find on the internet says to go to Office.com, click View Account, then click Subscriptions. The word Subscriptions does not appear anywhere on the page; this answer is not correct.

An easy way to tell is to open a past meeting from your Teams calendar and go to the "Recap" tab. Click on the "AI Notes" to the right of the recording. If it says "Try Premium for free", then you do not have Premium.

    Hi RCon,

Unfortunately, there isn't a universally self-verifiable way within the Teams app itself to definitively confirm Teams Premium access. Here's why:

Limited User Visibility: Microsoft Teams doesn't explicitly display license information like "Teams Premium" within the user interface.

Feature-Based Access: Some Teams Premium features might be available depending on how your organisation manages licenses. Even without a personal Teams Premium license, you might access certain features if the organiser has one.

However, there are a couple of approaches you can attempt to get a good idea:

Try Accessing Premium Features: Explore functionalities known to be exclusive to Teams Premium. Here are a few examples:

Virtual Appointments: If you can schedule and manage virtual appointments directly within Teams, it suggests a strong possibility of Teams Premium. Meeting Recording Permissions: If you have control options for who can record meetings (like allowing only yourself or specific attendees), it might indicate Teams Premium access. Check for Meeting Branding: If you encounter meetings with custom backgrounds, logos, or branding elements, it's a strong sign that your organisation has Teams Premium (though not necessarily that you personally have a license).

Right, I definitely have a paid version. I'm looking for a method by which anyone can self-determine whether they have Teams Premium without going to their IT Administrator.

Hello the one you referenced sounds like outdated infomation.

If this is for your business account, only your business IT admin user can tell you what license(s) are assigned to your account via admin center.

    Hi RCon1,

Thank you for reaching out. My name is Furkaan, a user just like you. I’d be happy to help you with your concerns. You're right, the instructions for checking Teams Premium through Subscriptions on Office.com might be outdated. Here are two ways to determine if you have Teams Premium:

Check your profile picture in Microsoft Teams:

    Open the Microsoft Teams app.

Click on your profile picture in the top right corner.

If you see "Microsoft Teams Free (classic)" at the top of the menu, you are on the free version and don't have Teams Premium. If you don't see any mention of "Free" and there's no indication of a specific Teams version, you likely have a paid license that could include Teams Premium.

    Contact your IT administrator:

If you're unsure about your license or can't tell from your profile picture, your IT administrator can confirm if you have Teams Premium. They manage user accounts and subscriptions within your organisation.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Give back to the Community. Help the next person who has this issue by indicating if this reply solved your problem. Click Yes or No below. Best Regards, Furkaan
