How do I delete a poll in teams channel?

I accidentally posted a poll before I had finished building it but there does not seem to be an option to delete it. This is in a channel not a chat. I know I can delete the form in the background but this doesn't remove the poll itself. I am the team owner and have just changed the policy to enable team owners to delete messages, although nothing has changed yet. But can you tell me if it is possible for a team member to delete their own poll if created in error?

Can we do this in a chat - as I see NO option to delete it in a normal chat message.

    Dear Amy Gee1,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you!

Deleting a poll in a Microsoft Teams channel can be a bit tricky. If you are the owner of the team and have the setting "Owners can delete all messages" the three dots will appear, and a poll can be deleted. If you are not the Team owner, you will not be able to delete the poll.

    1. As a team owner, you should be able to delete the poll message itself. Look for the three dots (ellipsis) next to the poll message, click on it, and select "Delete". If the option isn't available immediately after changing the policy, try signing out and back in to refresh the settings.
    2. If deleting the poll message doesn't work, you can delete the form associated with the poll. Go to Microsoft Forms, find the form under "Group forms", and delete it. Note that this might not remove the poll from the Teams channel, but it will prevent further responses.
    3. If deletion isn't possible, you can hide the poll. This won't remove it for everyone, but it will make it less visible to you.
    4. If these options don't work, consider submitting feedback to Microsoft to request a feature that allows easier deletion of polls in Teams channels.

Unfortunately, team members who are not owners cannot delete their own polls once posted. Only team owners with the appropriate permissions can delete messages, including polls.

If none of these steps work, let me know and we can explore other options. Please note that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can find a solution together. Thank you for your help.
