Controlling settings, permissions, and membership within Teams and channels
I have the same issue. We never use the Posts function, only Files. It's a waste of time to have to open in Posts, and then have to choose Files and wait again.

When I enter a channel on Teams, the first section that opens is "Posts," which means I always have to click on the "Files" section which will usually take a few seconds of additional waiting. Is there an option to make the "Files" section default? Or any other way to speed up the process?
Additionally, I would like my folders to be ordered by newest modified, so that I don't have to select this option every time. Is that possible?

In Teams channel the default open to Files vs Post needs to be implemented. In working through several folders of documents the clicking from POST, which is unused, to get to FILES seemed to fill most of my day waiting for the page to refresh and reload. FILES should be first and then if we want Posts then we can pick them up, if your company uses them.
Same... I would vote for the default tab to be Files, but I cannot access the feedback site. Same error message.
When Teams is using to share documents, having Posts as default tab makes little sense
