AirPods pro 2 does not connect to calls on teams

I’m experiencing an issue where my new AirPods Pro 2 won’t connect to Microsoft Teams calls. Interestingly, my old AirPods work fine with Teams, and the AirPods Pro 2 connect seamlessly to other platforms and audio on my computer.

I’ve already tried restarting my computer and reconnecting the AirPods, but the problem persists. The headphones are fully functional, charged, and work without issues elsewhere.

Could this be a compatibility problem with Teams?

Hello, I had the same problem and none of the solutions provided worked for me, but I found a workaround:

    1. Go to System > Sound > All Sound Devices > Properties
    2. On your sound device (Airpods) settings, look for "Audio - Allow apps and Windows to use this device for audio" then toggle the "Allow"/"Dont' Allow" to allow once again (even if it is already set to "Allow", reset it).

    Hope it helps!

    Hi,

Thank you for your response and suggestions. I wanted to update you on what I’ve tried so far:

    1. My Teams app is already updated to the latest version.
    2. I’ve selected AirPods Pro 2 as both the speaker and microphone in Teams settings.
    3. I’ve re-paired the AirPods Pro 2 multiple times.
    4. I’ve also checked and set the AirPods Pro 2 as the default audio device in Windows settings.

Despite trying all of these steps several times, the issue persists. Interestingly, I’ve noticed that Teams connects successfully with an older version of AirPods but not with the newer AirPods Pro 2.

Could there be any specific compatibility issue with AirPods Pro 2 and Teams? Please let me know how we can resolve this.

    Thank you!

    This may be compatibility issue.

Your provided audio devices are third party for Teams. It may work or not work.

You can check with certified Teams device: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/teams-devices/category/headsets/36

    Dear Kerin

Good day! Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community. We'll be happy to help!

First of all, we regret for the inconvenience caused to your work. Based on your description, I have a general understanding of your question, there are a few potential reasons why your AirPods Pro 2 might not be connecting to Teams:

    • Bluetooth Compatibility: Sometimes, newer Bluetooth devices may have compatibility issues with certain software. Ensuring that your Teams app is up-to-date might help resolve this issue.
    • Teams Settings: Check the audio settings in Teams to ensure that your AirPods Pro 2 are selected as the default audio device. You can do this by going to Teams > Settings > Devices and selecting your AirPods Pro 2 under both the Speaker and Microphone sections.
    • Re-pairing: Try removing the AirPods Pro 2 from your Bluetooth devices list and then re-pairing them with your computer. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
    • Windows Settings: Make sure that your AirPods Pro 2 are set as the default audio device in your Windows settings. Go to Start > Settings > System > Sound and select your AirPods Pro 2 under both the Output and Input sections.
    • Firmware Update: Ensure that your AirPods Pro 2 have the latest firmware installed. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve compatibility issues with specific applications.
    • Also please kindly try to check whether your teams app has updated to the latest version, if not please check the result after updating it, thanks. For your reference: Update Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Support [b383-91e7-85e-7342]

In addition, if you still need further help, please kindly use your account to login **** teams web app and then check whether you got the same issue, thanks.
