how do i form a group in teams?

To start a Group chat please click on the new chat icon: Enter the Name/ email of the chat participants, and name the group by clicking on the right-side drop-down arrow:

To form a group, first you can start a chat with one of the members you want in your group, once you have the chat window, click on the add member icon on the upper right to add more people:

This will then turn into a group chat, and you can then rename it to however group name you want.
