Graphic issues on New Teams

Hello,

I'm contacting you because I've been having problems with the new version of teams for a few months now.

When the new version of teams is launched, I start getting graphic errors (flickering, graphic vibrations, etc.) on all the screens of teams.

When I start a video meeting, my camera screen is black and the screen of the person I'm talking to is also black.

I had no problems with the classic version of Teams.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I have experienced this issue on Brave Browser, Teams and Whatsapp.
It's because some Windows update that screws over the graphics.

For Brave Browser I had to change the GPU angle (or something, don't know what that is though) from 3D11 to Open GL or 3D9 (or something like that) and that fixed the issue.

No idea what to do for Teams or Whatsapp, but maybe someone who actually knows what they're talking about can look into this and figure out an actual fix to this.

For the record: No issues whatsoever on my phone, no issues on MAC.

    Hello Sébastien C,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. My name is Gunasekar and I'm happy to help.

I am sorry that you are experiencing this issue.

    • Did you check your default camera application, are you able to view your picture on the in-built camera app without flickering?

If you are experiencing issues only with Teams (New) application, the problem could be with the Graphic drivers. You could try these suggestions one by one and check if it helps.

Before troubleshooting, make sure the Teams app is not running in the background. You can disable it from Task manager.

    1. Clear Microsoft Teams cache files:

    a. Close Microsoft Teams completely (make sure it's not running in the background). b. Press the Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box. c. Type %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams and press Enter. This will open the Teams app data folder. d. Select all the files and folders inside this folder (Ctrl + A), then delete them (you may want to back up important files first). e. Restart Microsoft Teams and try signing in again.

    1. Ensure that you are using the latest version of Microsoft Teams. Outdated software sometimes crashes . Check for updates in your app store or download the latest version from the official Microsoft Teams website.

    https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-teams/download-app

    1. Reset Teams - Locate the New Microsoft Teams app from the results, select the More options button (...) on the right, and then select Advanced options. In the Reset section, select Reset.
    2. Run a System scan. System File Checker is a utility in Windows that checks for problems with files on your computer. To run it, follow these steps:

    1. If you are still experiencing issues, download and install Latest updates for Windows and update graphic drivers.

To install updates- Go to settings > Update and security > Check for Windows update.

To Update graphic drivers - Open device manager > Display adapters > Right-click the drivers and click update drivers. Once installed, restart your PC. If there are no available updates,

    • Go to the PC manufacturer website and install the latest version of drivers for your graphic driver.
