I can call out on Teams with my laptop but not with my iphone. It worked for a year or more and now constantly says im in a call. I can reset status and it still goes back to in a call. I have cleared the cache with no success. I can receive calls on my phone but not make them.

    Hello Roberts Bryan,

Good morning! Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community. We are happy to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the Teams app on your phone. It sounds like you've already tried cleared the cache with no success.

However to better understand the problem and know if the issue is related to the app setting, the account or SBC,IP etc.. in order to provide the right troubleshooting , we need more details from you, please provide us with the following information. Thank you.

1-Please make sure you do not leave any meeting when you were on hold. Check your recent meeting by asking one of your colleague to join the recent meeting you attendee with them and check if you were still present if yes they should remove you.

Also Make sure you have the latest version of Microsoft Teams installed. For hardware requirements for Teams on mobile devices: See Hardware requirements for Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn.

2- Open the App Store, search for "Microsoft Teams" and tap Updates (if available).

3-.Please follow the steps and check the issue

    • Enable calls
Go to your iPhone's settings, find the Microsoft Teams app, and toggle the Local Network button to enable calling
    • Check your status
To keep your Teams status green, make sure the app is open and active. If you minimize or close it, your status might change to "Away"
    • Check your call log
To hide calls and meetings from your call log, go to Settings > Calling > Device call log and turn off the toggle for Show Teams calls in call log

4- if the issue still persist since you said you can make a call in teams on desktop, kindly go to your teams on the iOS Click on the ... and you will see the Settings menu. And under Calling, there is a section for Emergency call diagnostics and  click on Diagnostics. It will provide the diagnostics. Kindly copy and provide to your admin to report in order to raise a support ticket to our support online. They will find the cause using some back end tool and provide the right resolution.

in this case we need absolutely to collect the logs to find the cause and advice As end user you need to contact your admin or OT department or if you are admin you can collect the fiddler logs and raise a support ticket online to submit the logs and explain the issue. It is the best way to resolve the issue in this case.

You can refer to this article to check the way how to raise a ticket. Ways to contact support for business products - Admin help. The engineers in related team have higher permission and resources than us to help collect log and check the root cause directly.

We look forward to hearing from you. We will continue to assist you based on the information you provide to us. I would like to thank you sincerely for your patience and cooperation. Kind regards Eben Eze TresMicrosoft Community Moderator
