Switching Between Screens/Windows/Tabs while Presenting on Teams

Hello,

While sharing laptop screen I usually like to share the window/tab rather than sharing full screen. Suppose I want to explain an excel file in a Teams meeting then I'll specifically share that Excel Tab only. But when I want to suppose switch from Excel file to word file tab then I have to Stop sharing my current tab. For that I have to first minimize my current Excel file>go to Teams app>stop sharing screen>share window/tab>select word file Tab. The task gets tedious if I want to switch between multiple files.

There should be a feature that can control which window/tab should be shared. The current dialog box appears while sharing a Tab/window. There an option should be added to easily shop sharing current window & when I switch to some other window an option to share that window/tap shall be enabled. I can better explain with example:

Suppose I'm sharing an Excel file A on Teams. While sharing that Excel Tab a dialog box appears on the top which says STOP SHARING. Now instated of STOP SHARING it should be STOP SHARING THIS TAB/WINDOW.

Suppose now while presenting this Excel File A I want to present Excel File B or Word File, then when I'm switching from current Excel file A to Excel File B or Word File, the dialog box should display following options:

  1. KEEP SHARING EXCEL FILE A & CURRENT TAB (
  2. STOP SHARING EXCEL FILE A TAB & SHARE CURRENT TAB
  3. STOP SHARING EVERYTHING ON THE SCREEN

Hi, I'm Diane and I'm happy to help you today.

In Windows 11 & new Teams, you can share from open apps in the taskbar. hover over the icon of the app you want to share and click Share. https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/6880e6f3-80d8-4daa-a16d-d2421d8547a0?platform=QnA

I have not checked this in Windows 10.

You can submit feedback or report a problem from the Microsoft Teams App. On Desktop, you will find this in on the settings menu under Help, then Suggest a Feature or Give feedback. On mobile, you can find this by navigating to Settings, then to Help & Feedback, and finally to Send Feedback or Suggest a Feature.

You can also leave Feedback from the Help tab > Feedback or in the Teams Feedback Portal at https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/ad198462-1c1c-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472

Let me know how it goes, I'm here to help you further if needed.
