When playing a video embedded in a PowerPoint presentation over Teams, people on the call can see the video but not hear the sound. You could try this workaround, there is a feature called “include computer sound” when you share your desktop to other attendees and present your PowerPoint on your desktop. Here are the steps to follow:
- During your Teams meeting, select More, then choose Device settings.
- Under Audio settings, select Speaker.
- If you see multiple speakers listed and more than one audio device has the same name, try changing the name of one of the speakers that has the same name.
- Click on Desktop screen while sharing content on a screen share.
- Click on Include computer sound icon from scene share tray.
This should enable system audio sharing via Microsoft Teams. If applicable, select your presentation mode screen layout. Select the content that you would like to share: Desktop, PowerPoint Live, Screen, Whiteboard, Camera.
