Hi Alac Olander
Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft forum community, my pleasure working with you on the above issue.
Based on your query on opening two tabs of Teams at the same time, indeed its frustration with not being able to smoothly browse multiple tabs in Microsoft Teams. Unfortunately, it is not possible to open multiple instances of Microsoft Teams directly from the application. However, you can use a workaround by accessing Teams through a web browser or downloading the Teams Progressive web app.
- Open Teams in a browser like Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
- Click on the menu icon and select "Install this site as an app."
- Give the app a name and click "Install."
- You can now launch the app from the browser or pin it to the taskbar for easy access.
- Repeat the process for as many instances of Teams as you need
This method allows you to have multiple instances of Teams open simultaneously, enabling you to read instructions in the general channel while viewing assignments in the files channel.
