    Dear Jeffery Zhang1,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

I'm really sorry to hear about the audio issues you're experiencing during Teams meetings. I understand how frustrating and disruptive this can be for your team's productivity. Ensuring smooth and clear communication is crucial for productivity, and I'm here to help you with this as possible as I can.

Could you please provide some additional details to help us investigate the root cause?

    1. What audio devices (headsets, microphones, speakers) are you using during the meetings?
    2. What type of PC or laptop are you using?
    3. Does the issue persist if you change the audio device?
    4. Does the issue occur in both the Teams app and the Teams web version?

Currently, there appears to be an ongoing issue with Teams audio on certain Dell laptops. As a workaround, you can try rolling back to the previous audio drivers, specifically Realtek Audio 6.0.9676.1, A04. Additionally, disabling audio enhancements in the Advanced sound settings has helped some users.

Additionally, some users have found that using Dell’s Optimizer application can help improve audio quality on certain models. Have you tried this application yet?

Please help reply to the questions and let us know if any of these solutions help or if you need further assistance. We're here to support you, thank you for your patience as we work on this issue!

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution. Thank you for your cooperation.

    Hi Jeffery Zhang1,

Thank you for your kind reply.

You're not alone in experiencing these audio issues. We've received reports from other users facing similar problems with Teams audio quality recently.

I understand the urgency of this situation, and we're actively working to gather information and investigate the root cause of these widespread issues.

In the meantime, I encourage you to try the workarounds suggested in my previous response. If you're using a Dell laptop, rolling back the audio drivers and disabling audio enhancements might improve your audio experience.

We will keep you updated on any progress made in resolving these issues.

Please don't hesitate to contact us again if you have any further questions or concerns.

    This is Crazy!

As a skype user, I am now "forced" to use Teams.

In Teams, on a Desktop computer, a serious buzzing is coming out of the speakers.

Using the exact same Microphone / Speaker setup in Skype - the call works perfectly. The same call in Teams is unusable.

So I have to force close Teams - and ask my correspondant to do the same - and then make the call through Skype.... What is going to happen come May?

Microsoft - you really need to fix this.

Thanks, De Paul. This could be the key, since everything was working smoothly up until mid-December. We need to address this quickly.
