Microsoft Teams Recording dissapeared

I set up a meeting on teams and started recording. I checked the blinking red circle a few times to see if it was actually starting to record and it was. I saw the recording was about 2h when i ended the meeting.

The meeting was ended before I stopped recording. Later, I checked the meeting info, chat, my files and everything and the recording is gone.

On the chat, it didn't even show that the recording was started or ended. (I swear to God I DID record it)

There is a person joined the meeting as well, but she doesn't see it on her end as well.

It has been more than 10h since I ended the meeting, and it was only 2h recording so it should be up but there is no record whatsoever.

I tried every way to find the recording, I went to onedrive and searched for it, but it was not there, i went from the teams' calendar and see if the meeting info shows anything but it was not there, went to stream but it was not there. Even it was not the right meeting, it should pop up on the chat, but it didn't.

What happened?

    Hello Lisa Iida,

Good morning! Thank you for posting to the Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're experiencing with your Teams meeting recording.  Normally, a notification should appear in the meeting chat when a recording starts and ends. If this notification is missing, it might indicate an issue with the recording process itself

Since you said you can confirm that the recording was active it mean you press on the recording button! if yes as end user you need  to contact the administrator of your teams or IT department, they can check in the admin portal recording teams missing, use the URL and date to check if the recording is available, they will generate a link where you can use that link to download the recording.

They can get the the call URL by going in the teams admin> users > Manage users > search the affected account click and find the call URL ,date
