How do you do "Add this device" to a teams call/meeting in the web browser like the desktop app?

I always start my meeting from my phone since the web cam on my laptop doesn't work through my work's remote desktop but I like to keep the meeting open on my desktop as well. In the desktop app it puts a blue banner with a Join button that prompts to add this device or switch to this device. I am looking for this function on the web browser as my company server doesn't support the new teams that started July 1st 2024.

    Hi Ruth,

In regards to this response the linked article shows the Join bar that I was asking about not being there in the web browser version. I can find scheduled meetings in the calendar to join but not as an added device like the desktop app does. Just adds another me that joins without audio. I am more looking for the non-scheduled teams video calls I want to include on my desktop. An example is when one of my coworkers calls to ask a question and they want to share their screen. I can't see what they are showing on my cell phone screen. There is no join button I can find for those calls in the web based version of Teams.

    Hello Kevin,

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft community. To add a device to a Microsoft Teams call or meeting in the web browser, follow these steps:

Join the Meeting on Another Device: While you’re in a Teams meeting on one device, open Teams on the second device. From the second device, select “Join.” Then, choose “Add this device” to include it in the meeting.

    Regards Ruth
