I cannot signout of my email account.  WHETHER VIA IE BROWSER OR CHROME.

Always because of non ''trusted certificate'' message. Here r the steps:

WWW.hotmail.com is always transferred to LIVE.COM below:

https://login.live.com/login.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=11&ct=1373563095&rver=6.1.6206.0&wp=LBI&wreply=https:%2F%2Fanswers.microsoft.com%2Fen-us%2FSite%2FCompleteSignIn%3Fscheme%3Dhttp&id=273572

which opens the OUTLOOK web page where I log in with my hotmail users ans PW where I have access to my hotmal emails; so far so good...

https://login.live.com/login.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=11&ct=1373562960&rver=6.1.6206.0&wp=MBI&wreply=http:%2F%2Fmail.live.com%2Fdefault.aspx&lc=1033&id=64855&mkt=en-us&cbcxt=mai&snsc=1

After logging, here is where I get

https://col125.mail.live.com/default.aspx?id=64855

THE PROBLEM IS WHEN I TRY TO LOG OUT.

THIS IS WHERE EVERYBODY GET STOCK AND CAN NOT LOGGOUT AND GET THE ''SSL ERROR'' instead

Please note that the ''https'' you see below is actually crossed off in the path below

https://signout.live.com/content/dam/imp/surfaces/mail_signout/v7/mail/fr-ca.html

The message in red background and with a yellow warning triangle with a ''!'' in it reads as follows:

The site's security certificate is not trusted!

You attempted to reach SIGNOUT.LIVE.COM but the server( ur OUTLOOK server I guess...) presented a certificate issued by an entity that is not trusted by ur PC OS system. This may mean that the server has generated it's own security credentials (which it should since we r logged on LIVE.COM's server and not OUTLOOK's in my opinion....), which Chrome can not rely on 4 Id info, or an attacker may be trying 2 intercept ur comms. U should not proceed, ESPECIALLY if u have never seen this warning be4 4 this site.

Here is my take and where u guys should fix the problem asap:

first HOTMAIL web site auto routes 2 LIVE.com

2 even though we r actually logging in LIVE.COM 4 our emails, the actual web site, interface and server is OUTLOOK's I think

3 your OUTLOOK server woun't let us log out via SIGNOUT.LIVE.COM 4 which we ACTUALLY logged in in the first place!

Please fix this ASAP. I really think that the problem is on your side guys cause even if u try going to OUTLOOK.COM on the web u get to LIVE.COM!!?? C 4 yourself below!! This is what we get!!

    Hi LewRace,

Welcome to the forum. I know how important it is for you to be able to log out of your account because it's a way of securing it. You can rest assured that I'll do my best to help.

Sometimes, you might experience some error because the web browser stores old cached files that could cause websites to stop functioning properly. If you haven't tried clearing the cache, please try to do so. This will also serve as our initial troubleshooting step to isolate the issue. You can follow the instructions on this **link** on how to do it.

If optimization didn't make a difference, kindly try resetting your browser settings to its default. For Internet Explorer, I would like you to read the article on the link below and follow the steps provided in there on how to reset.

    **Internet Explorer**

If you're using another browser, refer to their respective browser support for assistance. Keep in mind that when you reset settings, all previous settings are lost.

Try to use different browsers or computers if issue persist and let us know how things turned out.

Please also be advised that customers can sign in to either https://outlook.com or https://mail.live.com.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and we look forward to your response.

    Thank you.
