My laptop is preinstalled with Windows 10. Then I changed the preinstalled Windows key to another key. Now I want to switch back to the preinstalled key, but I cannot find the key. Is there any way to know the key? I have lost bill documents and the warranty card.

    Hi @John Monson ,

Generally, if you bought a physical copy of Windows, the product key should be on a label or card inside the box that Windows came in. If Windows came preinstalled on your PC, the product key should appear on a sticker on your device. If you've lost or can't find the product key, contact the manufacturer.

Have you chance to contact the manufacturer?

You can check the registry to find the product key. Here's how:

Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.

Type regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.

Navigate to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform

Look for the value named DigitalProductID or PID. The product key is usually stored as a hexadecimal value in this key.
