Language settings of email notifications

After upgrading from Skydrive to Onedrive, I'm receiving the notification messages from Microsoft in Khmer language. How can I change that back to English or German?

The language of the web version is still being picked up from browser settings (:relieved:), but the communication language has been changed without my consent.

Just because I'm located in Cambodia doesn't actually mean that I'm able to read and understand such notifications. In the options menu, I don't see any language options either. Someone please help me set my account back to a language that I can read and understand...

Thanks and best wishes,

Jan

    Thanks for the reply.

My language settings are all on German.

However, since my location is in Cambodia, my home and work country and time zone are both set to Cambodia. That does not mean I'm fluent in the language, and can read and understand an email of technical content.

Are you indicating here that Microsoft's communication language is based on location and not on the user's language settings? If that's the case, you might want to rething that strategy...

    Best wishes,

    Jan

    Hi Jan,

We apologize for the delayed response.

I understand that you are receiving emails from Microsoft using different language. You may follow the steps below in order to check you account's time zone.

    1. Login to your account at https://account.live.com/
    2. Click "Personal info" that is located in the left side.
    3. Check you Home's and Work's Time zone if they are set correctly.
    4. You may change the time zones if both are different.

You may also follow the steps below to ensure that you account's language is set to English or German.

    1. Login to your account at www.outlook.com.
    2. On the upper right corner, click on the Gear icon right next to your account name.
    3. On the drop down, click the "More Mail Settings" options.
    4. Under the "Customizing Outlook", click "Language".
    5. Select the desired language; and then click the "Save" button.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need further assistance regarding this.

    Regards!
