System Center Endpoint Protection (Software Update or WSUS) / SCEP upgrade?

Hello,

  1. When using "System Center Endpoint Protection" do we need mandatorily to use Software Updates Point?
    Could we use the old WSUS? - The Microsoft Endpoint Manager Configuration Manager (MEMCM) is using Software Updates for its environment (Primary, Management Point, Reporting Server, Software Update Servers and Distribution Points) but the Clients are using WSUS for most of them. How does this work?
  2. How does the System Center Endpoint Protection (Antimalware Malware Client) version get upgraded? Thanks,

    Could we use the old WSUS?

    Yes, we could. Please navigate to Assets and compliance -> Endpoint protection -> antimalware policies -> Default Antimalware policy -> security intelligence updates, we could click the tab of updates distributed from WSUS. Here is the screenshot we could refer to:

    How does the System Centre Endpoint Protection (Antimalware Malware Client) version get upgraded?

    Once the client get SCEP update from WSUS, the client version could be upgraded.
