Scheduling and managing events using Outlook.com calendar
Select each task after clicking on the CTRL Key, that should select all the ones you click on and then click on delete.

I know you can delete just one completed task by opening the task itself and clicking delete, but I have several completed tasks that I'd like to delete all at once. There is no menu for me to do this (one site I came upon said to select Edit Menu, yet there is none.)
Please help, as I'm trying to reuse my calendar and tasks now that I have a smartphone.
thank you to anyone who can respond with help.

I think this should work , in case you can not find delete menu, try just hit Del key on the keyboard
Good luck
thank you, but where IS the Task folder? This looks nothing like the Outlook I use. (Sorry, I'm not sure what version I have -- am assuming it's the most current -- I can't even find out how to tell, as I cannot even find the "About" tab that's usually easy to find in other programs.)
Thank you for your response and screen shot.
Open the Tasks folder. That's where your Tasks are stored. The normal click-Shift+click or click-Ctrl+click actions allow you to select multiple items.
thanks for your response, but not what I'm looking for -- first, it didn't work (I still had to delete each one individually, even though they were all checked) and 2nd, I want to be able to select them all at once, not separately.
To the other reply -- WHERE is the delete menu? I realize I can use the delete key, Plus, the trash bin icon is by the task itself (which is what I used), but it would be helpful if someone could say where the menu is located (or provide a link to how the calendar menu works).
