Hi!

I have Windows 11 installed on my notebook. For about 15 days now, every time I turn it on, a folder named $McRebootA5E6DEAA56$.lnk opens up and I dont know what this is about or if I can delete it.
There are two files inside:

  1. FileCoAuthLib64.dll
  2. FileSyncShell64.dll

What to do? Can I delete it or do I have to do sth about it?

Thx for the help!

That is McAfee AV. If this is a new machine then most likely it came pre-installed with a trial version of McAfee AV. That is what is creating this folder. It sounds like it should only be there if a reboot is needed post install but a quick google indicates that it gets into this state and won't recover. You could follow the steps [Mod Removed]. Otherwise contact McAfee for support.[Moderator Edit: Removed link due to link not working anymore**]**
