This is Inspector HO from the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department, I should be grateful if you would divert me to the appropriate person for enquiring the captioned particulars as soon as possible as I have a suspect account registered under hotmail.com.

Thanks.

Hi & welcome too,

In order to release member information in a civil matter regarding an MSN or Windows Live account, Microsoft must first receive a validly served subpoena or court order.

Please address the appropriate legal document to Microsoft Corporation and include all pertinent information for Microsoft to identify the particular MSN or Windows Live account(s) you seek to locate.

Microsoft will respond to formally served civil subpoenas served on Microsoft’s registered agent in the requesting party’s state and is unable to respond to faxed or mailed requests for civil matters.

Please call the Microsoft Online Services Legal Request Hotline at (425) 722-1299. The hotline is available to help with these issues.

Hi and thanks for your reply.

Please note that the matter we are dealing with is a criminal one.  Do you have a representative in Hong Kong ? If not, the search warrant issued by a Magistrate may not be applicable in my opinion.

Please advise what I can do. Thanks.

(Btw, how can I talk to you privately? I do not want any information to be divulged to a 3rd party)

    Mr. HO

    Hi,

Depending on the situation, it is not normal for someone to ask information regarding a Microsoft Account that is not owned by them. You may need to contact Microsoft Account Chat Support for additional assistance for this matter.
