Why are some outlook.com email adresses not available

I want to create an account with the name ******@outlook.com where xxxxxxx is meaningful to me, but it says that name is not available even though the account with that name does not exist.

Why is this? Is there a list of reserved words somewhere or something?

As far as I know there is not.

Things like Administrator, helpdesk, etc are also probably prohibited.  You may be able to use information@... but there is only one way to find out.

Sorry but "info"@ outlook.com is prohibited.  I seriously doubt "info" is meaningful.

Can you tell us more or just give up on ******@outlook.com?
