Turn off appontments copying to my calendar

I set up a new outlook calendar for my supervisor so that I could schedule appointments for her.    The intent was to print off the schedule each week to give to her.

The calendar makes me schedule the appointments as an email and send her an email every time I schedule it.  Additionally, it copies the appointments to my calendar?   I don't understand why it does this.  We have several shared calendars in the office for appointment rooms in which we just schedule the appointments and reception prints them off each day.

We use Microsoft Exchange for our Outlook.    My supervisor asked me to add certain appointments to her calendar, so, she shared her calendar with me.   The idea was that I could then print those off at the start of the week.

We have several shared calendars and when I schedule appointments in those, it offers me the option of "copy to my calendar".  This one requires me to "send" a request and an email goes to her.   It then copies to my calendar.   I have all my own appointments so, I have to go in and delete them each time.   Any way to fix this or is there some set up options that we're missing here?
