Provide feedback with sound turns on by itself

I constantly hear the obnoxious sounds in all office applications, yes I know I can turn them off in the ease of access settings but they turn back on almost immediately. Please do not tell me that they can be turned off in settings because as many threads have shown that simply does not work as something is resetting the selection. Every time I hear the dying bird when I delete an email I want to smash my computer so please if you have a soul elevate this to the office team so that it can be fixed.

Unfortunately I work at Johnson & Johnson and I can't control the version of my OS or Office Apps. But an update was just pushed and at least for now I don't hear the obnoxious dying bird sound when I delete an email. So maybe this bug has been fixed in newer versions.

I am using (primarily) Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. I can disable the sounds through the Ease of Access settings in any of them (or all of them) and they will be automatically re-enabled in very short order. I have tried this many, many times.

    I am using Office 365 Version 1708 (Build 8431.2270)

This happens with a great many other users, not just me.

Please fix it as these sounds are insanely obnoxious and annoying.

    Thank you.

Yes, I have tried exactly those steps. The sounds are disabled for a short while but then very soon will be re-enabled through every office app. Automatically. Just like a dozen other people have said in similar threads. You can turn the god-awful sounds off with the method you provided, but they come right back on.

Please do not close this thread because the issue is not in any way resolved. This needs to be elevated to the developers because there is a bug here that needs to be fixed.

    Thank you.

    Hi Gricha15,

May I know which Office 365 application version you are using  so that we can try reproducing this? See About Office: What version of Office am I using?

    Thanks,

    Lance

    Hi Gricha15,

May I know which Office 365 application version you are using? See About Office: What version of Office am I using?

How did you try to turn off sound? Please provide us with the detailed steps for further analysis.

However, you can turn sound effects off by go to the File menu, select Options.

On the Ease of Access tab, under Feedback Options, clear the Provide feedback with sound checkbox.

    Best regards,
