Outlook folders on iPhone

My Outlook folders on my computer are fine and up to date. It's just on my iPhone where I have two full sets of my folders. The first set are all  empty when I try to open them; the second set contains everything from my computer and are all up to date. Maybe just delete Outlook from my phone and re-install?

Have you used Mail in IOS system or Outlook  IOS?

Do you use which protocols to connect your Outlook, Exchange, POP, or IMAP?

You cannot directly delete a folder in Outlook IOS. But You can try to delete a folder in Outlook client. You can only delete folders that you create in Outlook client.

Besides, if you add other account like outlook.com to your Outlook IOS, try to check whether you can delete folders in the mail web or Application.

I tried to delete Outlook and reinstall but that didn't work. Maybe I did it wrong..........for example I didn't re-start my phone before reinstalling like I might on a computer. Anyway, there are 60 folders (All empty) listed first and then my current folders which appear to be up-to-date. Some of the 60 empty folders no longer exist on my computer in Outlook, but some do. It's not a big deal, I just need to scroll down past the empty folders to the active folders. But there should be a simple way to delete the empty folders.............

May I confirm that you are using Office 365 for Business? From you description, the repeat folders are all empty and some folders show in the Outlook desktop client. I suggest you remove the account on the Outlook for IOS, delete the folders in Outlook desktop client. Then re-set up the account in Outlook for IOS. Then the application will sync the emails and folders with Exchange server.

You can delete Outlook in your Phone and re-install to check the issue.

Besides, I’d like to confirm if  the name of two set of folders are the same.
