So whenever I compose or reply to an email, the font is set to be Segoe Light which I have set in the settings, but the moment I type anything, it changes to Times New Roman... Any ideas?

and yes you are right, I had chosen Segou UI light, but let’s say I choose Arial, again same thing...It changes to Times after I start typing.

I just reinstalled Office (again) and it’s the latest version.

    Hi Raphael,

If you haven't changed the default font for email messages, you can navigate to File > Options > Mail > Stationery and Fonts to edit the font of new mail messages.

Besides, I cannot find Segoe Light font in my lab, there's only Segoe UI Light in the list. So may I collect the screenshot of your Outlook client version? If it's not the latest version, you can update it and check if it helps. For your reference, see Office update history.

    Regards,

    Marvin

As I wrote before, I meant to write Segoi UI Light, not Segoi Light. I apologise for the confusion. I also mentioned that I tried several different fonts, all of which don’t behave any more the way that it used to last week. Something has got messed up. I also have some serious problems in Word, but I have a different post about that.

Anyway, as requested, here is a screenshot of my Office version. I should also point out that I have tried the following:

    1. repairing my office installation
    2. reinstalling from scratch (following Microsoft’s very detailed instructions)... Twice!
    3. rolling back to earlier versions (again following Microsoft’s detailed instructions) – I tried 3 different rollbacks going back a year.
