add myself to someone else's meeting

Hi,

I wonder if it is possible to add myself to a meeting in someone's calender (or ask the owner to add me to the meeting)? It would be very nice not having to send an e-mail but make it directly in Outlook calendar (right click - Add participants do not work because of permission settings).

    Hi MartenM,

As far as I know, it is not available to ask owner to add yourself to a meeting or ask the organizer to add you directly in the calendar instead of sending emails, however, if this feature is important to you, it is recommend to submit a feedback on Outlook UserVoice. Some features get improved via people’s feedback, in there you can share your valued suggestions about products. Thanks for your time and understanding.

    Regards,

    Anna

But I do not want to edit someone elses calendar. I want to add myself to a meeting or ask the organizer to add me directly in the calendar. No editing at all. Just send "request to add me to the meeting". But ok, it is not possible.

    HI:

The best way is to forward the meeting. One the meeting is forwarded you can request access.

    Thanks,

however, that is not really my question.

This is the scenario: I open up Outlook calendar, and see that my colleague is organizing a meeting at 11.00. I am not invited, but would like to participate. Is it possible for me to add myself or ask the organizer directly from Outlook to add me to the meeting?

    Hello,

The organizer of the meeting can add you to the meeting (even without sending an invitation to you):

Add more people to the conference call

If you need to add more people to your conference call, you can drag their names into the meeting from your Contacts list. Or add them by using the people menu:

In the conversation window, in the Participants pane, click Invite More People.

Select someone from the list, and then click OK. Skype for Business calls the person for you and adds them to the meeting.
